Title | Design and Synthesis of a Novel Class A Power Amplifier |
||
Keyword | |||
Abstract | An audio amplifier can be divided into pre-amplifier and power amplifer. The pre-amplifier can modulate, filter, and regulate the voltage of input audio signal. The power amplifier is capable of amplifying a small signal from the pre-amplifier to drive the speaker systems. This study deals with the design and synthesis of a class A power amplifier. Main components of a power amplifier are still transistors, making the power amplifier work as one of the main types of Class A, Class B, and Class AB amplifiers. This thesis describes the characteristics of and ways of applying transistors, analyzes in detail characteristics and functions of different transistor circuits. This study presents a best combination design of components, which can be used to complete a Class A amplifier circuit. Recently, energy saving and carbon reduction is a common objective. Many countries have strived hard to produce low-energy-consuming products. The traditional pursuit of high-fidelity, low-distortion Class A amplifiers have inefficiencies. This research strives to develop a high-fidelity, low-distortion, switching power for the Class A amplifier, and the solution in this research proves by experiments to be feasible. |
