Abstract |
In the recent years, many students have part time work during their undergraduate period. This study investigates how the relationship between part-time work and subjective well-being. The survey was conducted in a Technological University in Taiwan. There were 170 questionnaires distributed and recollected, among which 160 were valid after excluding omissions or repeated answers; the effective response rate was 94%. There were 99 students; accounted 61.9% working part time and 61 persons, accounted 38.1%, were not. In the concepts of subjective well-being 21 items includes in questionnaire were grouped into four dimensions thorough the factor analysis. They are safety, rewarding, self-esteem, and controlling. The Students who having part time job has higher scores than whom having not, in three dimensions they are safety, rewarding, and controlling, separately. About conduct and acadmic achievement also shows having different perceived sujectitve well-being. |
