Abstract | Bicycle industry is one of the traditional industries in our country. There are various categories of products in bicycle industry.Owing to the hiking of oil price, environmental protection and energy conservation & carbon reduction gradually form global trends, which promotes the prevalent waves of riding bicycles. Bicycle industry thus becomes one of the most popular sectors. The developments of the bicycle-related industries are also booming in companion. In recent years, with the help of the government as well as the hard-working of A-Team established by the industry field, Taiwanese bicycle industry successfully transformed to produce and develop products with innovation and high added values. Nowadays, Taiwan still plays a significant role in providing bicycle products in medium-high prices. Nevertheless, there are numerous and countless components in a bicycle. And also, the selling methods are highly diversified. As a traditional industry, many of the small and medium enterprises in bicycle industry remain to apply the traditional methods to manage and process. Since their processes and management are not combined with E-management, the establishment of a information management system is not only a indispensable existence for traditional enterprise such as bicycle industry but also a significant core technology for business process reengineering and process management.The important points proposed in this research are listed below. i. What is the production processes of traditional bicycle industry? ii. How to build up a set of E-management system that can be put into practice? iii. How can the traditional bicycle industry undergo diagnosis, re-engineering, and management of the enterprises? |
