| Abstract | In order to propagate the right concept of how to use environmental pesticides to people in Taipei County, Environment Protection Bureau (EPB) carried out the project ¡§strengthen the impetus of safety in environmental pesticides¡¨. The content of project mainly included (1) to conduct guidance of environmental pesticides, to train and held the forum for the personnel who spray the environmental pesticides (2) to check and verify the labels and advertisements of environmental pesticides in the market, environmental pesticide vendors and pest-controlling proprietors. This study is not only to understand the concept of safely using environmental pesticides in habitants¡¦ minds, but also to propose some suggestions for the future works. The results show that the vendors will check the expiration date on the merchandise¡¦s label by themselves, because they have been educated to not sell expired merchandises. For the internet auction, the amount of unqualified merchandises in 2009 is less than that in 2010, and most of them vendors will automatically describe the certified number of the merchandises on the webpage. The forum for those personnel who spray the environmental pesticides helped vendors of environmental pesticides to qualify the government¡¦s regulation. To ensure the persons and environment safety, this study proposes the following suggestions for the future works, including (1) to request unqualified vendors of environmental pesticides to attend the forum (2) to check the labels of merchandises at the remote area (3) to ask the vendors show the certificate of merchandises on webpage duringinternet auction (4) to held a forum to educate the persons how to select a qualified pest-controlling proprietor (5) to check the advertisement of pest-controlling on the yellow page. |
